Hard groundwater contains elevated levels of dissolved calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions. When heated or pressurized, these minerals precipitate as hard lime-scale, clogging pipelines, destroying geysers and boilers, ruining bathroom sanitary ware, and causing dry skin and hair damage.

Clean Urja’s ion-exchange water softeners replace hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions with soluble sodium ions using high-capacity food-grade cation resin regenerated with a safe brine (salt) solution.
